"Believe in and on the Lord Jesus Christ
that is give yourself up to Him
take yourself out of your own keeping
and entrust yourself into His keeping
and you will be saved"
"Every relationship for a Christian is an opportunity to love another person like God has loved us. To lay down our desires and do what’s in his or her best interest. To care for him or her even when there’s nothing in it for us. To want that person’s purity and holiness because it pleases God and protects him or her."
Joshua Harris (I Kissed Dating Goodbye)
Eyes on the prize
13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
A lot of times as Christians, or even just as human beings, we fail. A LOT. And those failures and the disappointments that come after run our life. We believe that these things are so overbearing that God would be disappointed in us also. It’s not true! Nope nope nope! Jesus loves you soooosososososo much that He doesn’t take account of our sins or take record of our failures and that should be enough for us to let go. Let go of the things that are holding you back from what you can do. Let go of the things that are binding you to your failures. Because there is a greater grace and prize waiting for us. The calling of Jesus Christ in our lives is greater than all of that and it is unconditional, regardless of who we are and what we’ve done.
Look to the future, don’t dwell on the past! You have the best thing for the rest of your LIFE ahead of you as a present from God. To be able to call His name anad to enter through the gates of Heaven with His blessings! So whether it’s school, tests, homework, friends, relationships, money issues, etcetc, let go and let God.
"Friends come and GO, Jesus comes and STAYS."
God IS Sovereign
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. ~ 1 Chronicles 29:11
WHATSUP! it’s gloria (:
I hope you guys are doing good with God, family, friends and school! I’m still going through these rocky mountains with junior year but i’m trying my best. But because I’ve been pretty busy lately, my relationship with God hasn’t been so sincere and intimate. So I despise the fact that I’ve been so far away from Him because I miss being so in love with God and having my daily QT’s .
And there was a day in October that I was so burnt out I didn’t even want to come to church or have anything to do with Christ in my life. Like I was so done. My mentality started to get messed up and I started to go after the worldly things.
But then something inside me dragged me back to when I first tasted God’s love and I began to bawl because I felt so broken without God in my life. I realized that once you know that you’re a genuine kid of God, you’re always going to be His kid no matter what. “…For everything in heaven and earth is yours..”— Yeah all of us are God’s creation and He loves us a lot and I’ve come to realize that by this verse because it gave me a slap in the face too.
Hope ya’ll have a great week! Jesus loves you mucho grande!
Signing out, Gloria.
